The Agile HR Meetup returns to Edinburgh on the 26th September. Our hosts are Lloyds Banking, who are making their special event space at The Mound in Edinburgh available for 30 lucky people only. Joined by the Ways of Working team at Lloyds we’ll explore how to build a great People Experience with Agile HR, design thinking and experience mapping techniques.
Building a Great People Experience with Agile HR
Delivering a great and memorable customer experience has become the modern business mantra for our digital age. It’s perhaps unsurprising then to see this drive for customer-centricity begin to reshape how we approach Human Resources (HR). The titles of Head of Employee Experience or Director of People Experience are quickly becoming the new norm.
Anyone who knows a bit about Agile and modern marketing will quickly grasp the significance. PX (People Experience) is a direct descendent of UX (User Experience), and how successful digital product development is driven through an intense focus on the user experience. It’s perhaps also not a surprise that the HR teams doing PX well, are also leaders in what I call Agile HR.
Ultimately, it means HR is finally moving beyond the annual engagement survey and how it measures or manages employees. Instead, PX asks HR to view their employees as real people again, with real experiences, thoughts and feelings about their work every day.
On the night, Naomi Walker and fellow colleagues from the Lloyds Banking's Ways of Working team will share some of their latest Agile HR work, explaining how they are mapping out and redesigning the employee journey in key areas across the organisation. These interactive exercises will help to shift your perspective of how user-friendly, and human-centric HR services and practices can be designed.
Natal Dank, Agile HR Pioneer and founder of the Agile HR Meetup, will then help you get practical and explore how you can use some of these techniques back in your own workplace to enrich your employee experience.
Just like Agile, our agenda will continue to evolve, and additional guest speakers will be added closer to the event.
