  • Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre | MCEC Clarendon Room, 2 Clarendon Street, South Wharf VIC, 3006 Australia (map)

The Agile HR Meetup is coming to Melbourne for the first time. Our hosts for the evening will be the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC) and our theme explores the core elements of Agile HR and its role in supporting Business Agility and Agile Organisational Transformation. The Agile HR Meetup is a vital learning global network for Human Resources (HR), Learning and Development (L&D), Agile and, People and Culture professionals, on a mission to innovate HR and transform the profession for the future of work. Join us and help shape the discussion.

People Practices and Business Agility

While the themes of digitalisation, uncertainty and complexity are almost standard these days, the way to organise how we work, engage with our customers and collaborate to respond to these disrupting factors are still evolving.

Agile has emerged as the main way to redesign how we work and offers answers to many of these challenges. However, what does it mean to 'go Agile'? Do you even use the word? Also, what role does HR play in business agility and how do we begin to evolve our people practices to support Agile teams and mindset?

Our Hosts | MCEC

The innovators of event experiences, the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (MCEC), are welcoming the Agile HR Meetup to their magical space as part of their own Agile adventure. MCEC’s dynamic and customer-centric culture is central to their business success. Part of MCEC’s great culture is an Agile mindset of continually asking questions and taking creative risks to constantly evolve and bring new event ideas to life for their guests. On the night members of the MCEC people team will share their own story and insights on how to develop a customer-first and innovative organisational culture.

Speakers

Natal Dank, an Agile HR pioneer and co-founder of the Agile HR Community, will facilitate our main discussion and help participants understand what Agile HR is, and our potential role in supporting and enabling Agile team development and organisational transformation. Natal will also share case studies from the clients she works with globally and discuss ideas on how to evolve HR and people practices for the future of work.

Jane Weir, Agile HR leader and Agile HR Community partner based in Sydney, will join us to offer insights and learning from her own experiences in developing Agile teams, guiding wider organisational transformation and kick-starting an Agile mindset change within HR.

Libby Buick, Business Improvement Manager at MCEC, will explore how to drive innovation, business improvement and strategic thinking across an organisation and discuss how she blends her background in design thinking and Lean Six Sigma with MCEC’s recent journey in applying Agile and introducing new ways of working.
